To be fair, some MPs have protested loudly at Southern’s latest gob-smacking pay-and-bonuses awards to Southern’s CEO, Lawrence Gosden in August 2025, but hardly a murmur about the ongoing bills rip-off. A show of forthright action to rein in the renegade Southern Water is not only called for and long overdue but would also receive massive public approval.

Forthright action on the bills scandal includes MPs DEMANDING AND INSISTING ON MINISTERIAL, INVESTIGATORY AND PROSECUTORIAL ACTION FORTHWITH.

Constituents need to press their MPs who ‘sit on the fence' or even shy away from publicly criticising  Southern Water’s bills scam to make an unequivocal public statement on their position - and their intended actions - regarding the bills scam.

After all, the appalling Post Office Horizon scandal was bad enough with over 1,000 immediate victims plus several thousand more victims among their family members. Yet, with the Southern Water Bills Scandal, the number of immediate victim households alone is estimated to be over 4 MILLION, suggesting possibly 10-12 MILLION residents being harmed by Southern’s hyper-inflated bills.
